7. There are 14 small animal veterinary clinics and their satellite clinics located throughout Newfoundland and Labrador.
8. 60% of NALVMA veterinarians are women.
9. The Darya Campbell Memorial Scholarship is an award given to the student from Newfoundland and Labrador who achieves the highest marks in the third year of studies at the Atlantic Veterinary College. This award represents the sincere admiration of NALVMA veterinarians for a colleague who exemplified a balance between love of family life and her profession.
10. NALVMA veterinarians are involved in prevalence studies for animal diseases such as Rabies, French heartworm and Ehrlichia. Treatment and prevention protocols for our province are developed based on these studies and current research statistics.
11. NALVMA members job satisfaction is high - they like what they do and the province in which they practice!
